Basic Beat 6″ Pretuned Frame (Hand) Drum with Mallet Overview
Thick pre-tuned hand drum, with maple wood shell and synthetic skin head. Quality construction makes this a drum that will last; a webbed fabric band is securely glued around the seam where the head meets the shell of the drum. The depth of the shell gives this drum a full, resonant sound. (Remember, since the head is not tunable each drum will have its own unique pitch.) Includes mallet.

Basic Beat 8″ Single Hand Bongo Review
this works way better than those plastic ones.. it has way better tone and is more tollerable to listen to for me that a dull thud sounding hunk of plastic.
this is closeer to or is a real instrument and i’d rather my kid play with a scaled down version of the real thing vs. a lame imitation.
definately worth a look if you think the same way.

This is not a good choice for small children.

This drum has endured some beatings from 2 kids and it still has not broken. It is an excellent quality drum for the price. Sounds great too.
