The Musicality of Rodgers & Hammerstein Customer Review: Rodgers and Hammerstein:Always a Favorite!!!!
I bought this CD because I want to get my hands on everything where Ron Raines is singing. He starts the CD with a beautiful rendition of OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING. Unfortunately, that is the only thing he sings. The other singers are good, too. I thought it was interesting to have Pat Suzuki sing BALI HAI. Her version is different from the original but very beautiful. All of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s music is beautiful and sometimes moving and inspirational. Unless you own every R and H musical, buy this!

Makes me want to dance and drum every time I hear it! If you’ve ever traveled to Polynesia or even Hawaii and enjoyed authentic island music and dance, this CD will bring those rhythms back to you in your home or car. I dare you to not feel transported listening to this one!

This cd is loaded with great Ploynesian drum rhythms - excellent for dancing or as background music for a luau. These are authentic melodies not orchestrated versions so they may seem “raw” if you are used to the “Lawrence Welk style” of Hawaiian/Polynesian music. However, if you are looking for REAL Polynesian drumming then this is the cd for you.

Broadway - The American Musical (PBS Series) Customer Review: B’way The American Musical so-so
The first three discs were only OK. I had forgotten how much better the later Broadway musical recordings were. The last two discs were very good, maybe because I could relate better to the shows or perhaps the productions were better.

Packs into 5 CD’s a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20’s thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.
